Before becoming a counsellor. I often felt, there was a sense of purpose, just out of reach. It wasn't until I discovered my passion for helping others navigate the emotional toll of life's common pitfalls that everything clicked into place.  After graduating with a British Psychological Society Accredited Degree. I was on track to continue my education to qualify as a Clinical Psychologist. While working at a Mental Health Residential Facility and liaising with clinical psychologists on a daily basis. I realised the role was not as rewarding as I had imagined. I needed a 'boots on the ground' model of helping. I have always been fascinated by the highs and lows of our emotional experience. My emotional intelligence and empathic nature comes naturally supporting those who have decided they deserve to be treated better by themselves and by others. A contented future begins with a journey to self-discovery. Whether that begins in the past or present. I know from experience that finding the right therapist is paramount to the success of counselling. I discovered the enduring success of counselling after a life changing event that had me at rock bottom. The therapeutic relationship and insight I gained as a result of trusting my counsellor and the therapeutic process. Motivated me to take the life affirming step to becoming a BACP registered counsellor. I believe that real positive change can happen when supported by the right therapist.
